it’s been quite while since we last came up with something new and we are afraid we have to announce that this is the end of what we called i might be wrong. much has happened during the last year and we are now about to take quite a big step forward and we really feel the need of telling you about what is going to happen.
from this day on the band i might be wrong, as you know it, will no longer be. unfortunately, we all feel the need of going on and experiencing things which simply wouldn’t work out the way we used to arrange ourself within this project. as we took a long break during the last year, we took our time and tried to rethink what we are and where we want to go but just couldn’t get anywhere.
we struggled with this a lot, but in the end there was simply no other way for us, then to split up what we had formed and to let it rest as we move on, before we might get lost in something only half finished. we hope you understand and stay friends with each one of us, as we keep on making music for you just on different channels.
one part of i might be wrong forms into zelf and the others are still around as scence(s), heimer, corwood manual and siva. fell free to keep in touch with us and share more lovely moments in the future, we would be glad to see you again.
we also want to give a big thank you to all of those who have been supporting us for such a long time, for all the good things we went through, all the beautiful people we’ve met and every show that you and your friends made so special for us. don’t be down in the mouth, we will meet again.
Here is another something for you, to get ready for our shows in Hamburg and Berlin in two weeks. Feel free to check out our little backstage session, we played in Frankfurt for Bedroomdisco. This day has been a tough one, as it was our first day on tour since a long time, and we managed to forget most of our instruments and stuff at home. But hey, it was a nice day and we learned something.
So, see you soon, and tell everyone. These are the dates:
28.01.2011 HAMBURG // Molotow 31.01.2011 BERLIN // Magnet
Dear friends, as 2010 is drawing to an end, we can say that we had a wonderful year. England and Italy have been very kind to us, we shared stages with Why?, Broken Social Scene and lots of friends and even got to know new places just around the corner. We thank you all for this! For your support, attention and patience. Thank you Sinnbus, thank you Headquarter! On our last journey we sadly had to cancel two shows due to illness.Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, we can now announce two new dates in the new year to make up for it. We see you there! 28.01.2011 HAMBURG Molotow 31.01.2011 BERLIN Magnet And just in case you haven’t seen it yet, we played 3 acoustic songson Berlin’s rooftops… See it all herehttp://www.tape.tv/channel/imightbewrong All the best and see you in the new year! Yours I Might Be Wrong
The tour is now over and we had two amazing weeks, filled to the brim with nice people, great places and concerts to remember. The list goes on and on. Thank you to everyone who made this possible! Thank you Tim (sound engineering, steering wheel and conspiracy theories), thank you Jonas (hiphop quotes, merch table and marketing tricks), thank you Sinnbus and Headquarter… it was a tour to remember.
As you noticed the tour ended not as it was supposed to, due to the sudden illness of Lisa, who was not able to perform on stage. We had to make last minute decisions in Hamburg and Berlin, so we like to apologize to everyone who felt unhappy about the outcome of these circumstances. It was hard for us, too. Yesterday in Berlin, the only option was to stick to the schedule, minus us playing a concert. We did a dj set instead, so we could at least give you something since we could not perform the way we would have. We took the only options given, since there was more than an I Might Be Wrong concert to think about. We are also sorry for not spreading the news on the internet and for not informing the acts early enough that were about to play with us that night. We hoped and we tried to make it until the last minute that we could make it somhow, but in the end, it wasn’t only us that could decide what was there to do. We hope you understand. Also that there is always a huge amount of money around to bear when it comes to cancel a show you signed to play. But we really want to thank Mohna and Touchy Mob for two beautiful sets and to everyone who stopped by to be a part of the evening. Next time, next time. You know.
For now, we take a deep breath. We hope you are well.
We are very sorry to announce that we have to cancel tonight’s show at Molotow, Hamburg at last minute due to illness. There is nothing we could do about it, we hope you understand. Hopefully we return to Hamburg in spring to make up for it… Sorry again.
Erfurt was one of our favourite shows on this tour. Museumskeller is a great venue, with really lovely people and and an amazing sound and a great crowd! WOW! We really felt at home here and have to thank you so so much for this evening! These little things that make us so happy. We even did our laundry.
Today we arrived in Erfurt after a nice day off in Munich where we stayed at Markus’ place from the great band Missent to Denmark. This time for the second time. Some of us are a little sick and some others a bit tired, but we are happy as always to get on stage again tonight.
It’s been pretty amazing to get from such a warm place as Italy back home where it is cold and shivery. During our trip to Germany we traveled through Austria and saw some beautiful mountains surounding Innsbruck, covered in ice and snow. A few snowball fights later we made it to Munich a little sad to be home again and tried to get some rest of the last week of touring.
This night we are going to play at Museumskeller in Erfurt. It’s a very nice venue as you might guess deep down in a nice and dark cellar with a beautiful athmosphere. Food was also great and we finally are getting some fruits so Flori hopefully gets well soon.
